BIONIA NUTRITIONAL YEAST Engevita® is rich source of:

BIONIA NUTRITIONAL YEAST Engevita® is rich in proteins (51%) – a 10 g nutritional yeast portion can provide as much proteins as a 20 g portion of meat. These proteins are of plant origin, contain all essential amino acids and are as digestible as the usual diet.
Plant-based diet offers health benefits to the body and contributes to natural and ecological way of life. However, it is possible to occur deficits in the human body as a result of inadequate intake of proteins and vitamins – especially vitamin B₁₂, folic acid and riboflavin. Engevita® Nutritional yeast is specially designed to meet the needs of vitamin B complex in vegetarian or vegan diet.
Application: The pleasant umami taste of BIONIA NUTRITIONAL YEAST Engevita® makes it suitable for direct consumption as well as a complementary ingredient soluble in water, milk, juices, smoothies, vegetable extracts and other. When incorporated into foods it improves flavor and contributes to food texture. Sprinkle it on soups, salads, dishes, cereals, popcorn, spaghetti, pizza or potato dishes. In soups, sauces and purée the nutritional yeast has a thickening effect.
Nutritional yeast is a good alternative to salt. To retain the vitamin content add it after heat treatment of food.
Bioavailability – BIONIA NUTRITIONAL YEAST Engevita® is characterized by a very high absorption rate of contained nutrients: proteins, vitamins and minerals.
Recipe for homemade, vegan parmesan: blend 1 cup raw almonds, 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast, 1 teaspoon garlic powder to obtain the desired consistency. Garlic can be replaced with other spices (savory, marjoram, etc.) to diversify taste or adapt to another dish.
Recommended daily dose: 3 times x 1 tablespoon per day with some liquid (1 tablespoon ≈ 3.33 g). Nutritional yeast is not a drug and is recommended as a supplement to the daily menu. The product is not a substitute for a varied diet.
